I have been using Spot Pet Insurance since I got my dogs. One is four and the other is three years old. My four year old got sick and didn't want to eat and was vomiting so I took her in. Recently my cat got sick and I had very expensive vet bills. Because I had insurance my cat was able to get the care he needed. The online submission portal wasn’t working and took a really long time to fix. Once available, it was very easy to submit my claims with practically no paperwork and no questions asked. I got reimbursed within days of submission, which was great Just upset that I did not enroll in a no maximum plan, but having the insurance helped with his bills immensely. Overall, very pleased with the insurance and would recommend to others.

Spot is a great insurance company - and I never imagined saying that about any insurance company! We have an elderly cat who has developed several issues lately. The vet bills are expensive and frequent, but so far Spot has paid us for every claim. All they ask is adequate documentation. They have paid for their fee this year 2 times over. I definitely recommend this company!

After reviewing many pet insurance companies and finding a few with similar benefits and similar cost for same coverage options, I checked with other family members to see what they had and were using. Didn't ask any of the about their "satisfaction" level, only which company they used. Spot was the predominate choice. Glad I choose same. Easy to sign-up. Easier to submit my fist claim. Thereafter, surprised of the response to the claim and how soon funds were reimbursed back to me and deposited directly into my personal bank account. WOW!!

In 30 years of owning dogs and cats I have never signed up for pet insurance so I was apprehensive about taking insurance on our new rescue. Veterinarian costs have become outrageous and I felt it was necessary. I researched a number of companies but felt Spot Pet Insurance seemed to offer the best coverage. I have not been disappointed. The claims are easy to submit. Spot's customer service is excellent and the communication regarding the claims is accurate and timely. I have set up my account for direct deposit and was pleasantly surprised when my claim was approved and the deposit was made within 5 days. I highly recommend this insurance company especially for a young animal. Just note that pre-existing conditions are not covered. I am a very satisfied customer.

Accident/Illness coverage for dog <1 yr old
My miniature schnauzer had a significant illness vomiting for reasons unknown and an accident swallowing something he shouldn’t have both when he was 5-8 months old and luckily I had enrolled him in Spot Insurance which resulted in me saving about $1200 for treatment of both incidents even though I’ve only paid around $25 per month for coverage. Payment was prompt as promised as well!
