I purchased pet insurance for my cat a couple of years ago after he had urinary issues. Though I bought the insurance after the fact, I had kept it and actually thought of cancelling it the second year. I’m so glad I kept it since my cat ended up getting a broken leg and had to take him to an emergency vet where they kept him comfortable till he required surgery at a specialist vet in a different town the following day! The insurance covered exactly the service I pay for and did so with great customer service. I am definitely keeping this insurance for any other mishaps that the cat may get into. If you’re on the fence about it just remember that your pet is family too. Lol I surely felt at ease knowing that he had the best care and Pumpkin had my back afterwards!

Extremely efficient. I had submitted for pre approval an estimate for dental cleaning. Then when the cleaning was done and she was under anesthetic they found large tumor which was also removed. When I submitted the final bill with the extra charge, it was so great that you didn’t argue about the tumor removal. Pumpkin actually recorded, approved, and reimbursed me within an hour of submission of claim. Was amazing and impressive. I had used pumpkin for a claim maybe 4 yrs ago and I don’t know if Pumpkin has become more efficient or since I had also switched vets, my new vets office provides better invoices but this time was a 10 star experience. Springer sustained a spinal injury. Had to make three visits to the neurologist for a consult, MRI/CT, and back surgery. Total cost out of pocket was over $9k. As a proud dog mom to a miniature schnauzer named Paco, I take his health and wellbeing very seriously. When Paco was about 12 months old, I decided to purchase pet insurance, and I chose Pumpkin because of the flexibility and coverage they offer. One of the main reasons I selected Pumpkin is that the insurance is recognized statewide, which is very helpful for people who may relocate and don’t want the hassle of changing providers. They also offer multiple plan options beyond the standard package, including preventative care. I opted for the preventative care plan along with the 90% reimbursement option, which has worked very well for us. Pumpkin’s pricing is incredibly reasonable, and the claims reimbursement process is very timely. I have found the turnaround time for refunds to be quite fast, and their claims department has been efficient. Customer service has also been excellent. Anytime I have had questions or concerns, the representatives have been knowledgeable and helpful. If I’m unsure whether a cost will be covered, Pumpkin offers a review process where they can estimate what portion of the claim would likely be reimbursed. I typically receive responses within 24 hours. Overall, my experience has been very positive. I would highly recommend Pumpkin Insurance to any pet owner, especially those who value flexibility, responsive customer service, and reliable coverage for their pet.

I've had insurance with Pumpkin for my orange boy kitty, Link, since 2022. He's now 5.5 years old and has dealt with stomatitis, gingivitis, and the likes since he was a few months old. It's resulted in him needing a few dental cleanings and 16 teeth pulled so far. My mind is at ease knowing that my coverage with Pumpkin supports Link's care without much question at all. I am always reimbursed for his visits and treatments, and his bigger invoices are paid for so quickly. I'm beyond grateful for the staff always being kind, respectful, and understanding. I was dropped by nationwide. And to be honest nationwide had an amazing policy. I also had a dog with pre-existing condition of allergies. I looked and looked and tried to compare all of the different plans available, and I settled on pumpkin because they basically offered the same plan that I had with nationwide. Obviously they couldn’t cover the pre-existing allergy condition, but everything else was the exact same so I opted for the unlimited plan, including emergency and wellness. I have been very happy with pumpkin the turnaround time for payment on claims is so fast and they do estimates so for example if you have a big procedure coming up like a teeth cleaning, I submitted a estimate and was preapproved so by the time we had the procedure and I submitted the bill I had payment deposit deposited into my bank account within 24 hours. They are a great company to work with. I’m pleased that I picked them. I was nervous because I really did have a good experience with nationwide until they dropped me. But pumpkin has been great and I would recommend it to anybody looking for insurance. And I totally recommend the unlimited plan.
