The overall process was pretty straightforward. The only issue was a lack in communication when our loan officer was off for a couple days and no one else could answer our questions. The actual closing process was the quickest we ever had. Most of the documents were electronic, so tapping the box for signatures was less labor on our part.

Everything was done quickly and only once. Only problem we had was with one of the web sites. It asked us to review the closing documents before closing. After reviewing each document, there was no way to say we did it. The site kept coming up so we ignored it. The closing was easy without problems.

The experience was fairly smooth and painless, good communication throughout. My only complaint is that I was initially told I would not have to make a mortgage payment for two months, but then had to pay my May mortgage payment to the former lender and then I have to pay Rocket Mortgage on June 1, less than 30 days after making the May payment! This was definitely misinformation, and when I questioned the Rocket Mortgage guy who told me 2 months, he didn't even respond to my message!

I liked working with Rocket Mortgage. The first person I worked with from Rocket, the banker who got the loan started for me, Mitesh Patel was PHENOMENAL!! Cannot recommend him enough. The purchase specialist and closing specialist were good, but not as proactive in explaining the process or with their overall communication, so I had to do a bit more following up at that phase. Overall I’m happy with the work that was done to secure my mortgage loan.
