Process was great, junk mail is a nightmare
Applying and going through the process was completed quickly. Those I worked with were nice and very professional. My issue which I’m not happy about is the junk mail I am now receiving - 11 pieces in 2 days. On the outside displaying who my mortgagor is, for what address, and owner’s names. My privacy is gone.

Almost lost a customer
I loved the energy from loan officer, but Rocket almost lost my business. I asked for no points, but I still got points on my loan to make it look like I was getting a better rate by comparing apples to apples with competition. I had a VA loan so I had to lock in with one mortgage company at a time due to my Appraisal. I had to go back and forth with the loan officer on receiving lender credits because I lost my interest rate, but kept my payments low due to lender credits during the final approval. Additionally, I was told my final review of employment was verified via email. Then it was not. I had to call my current mortgage company to get an extension because of how long verifying employment took.

I didn’t like that I received numerous loan offers from various organizations/individuals. I’m not sure who you are sharing data with, but the decision to apply for a loan is a private one and having people text you with, “hey, i heard you’re looking for a loan. I can give you a better rate/offer” doesn’t help or is not necessary. It might be my personal opinion, but receiving spam because my number and information was sold makes it difficult to trust lenders.

I liked that the entire process was online and they used technology to make the process simple. What I did not like was often my email queries or queries on phone would not get answered completely. When a client takes the time and effort to post queries, it is expected that the person reading the email or listening to the query on phone also takes the time and effort to fully understand the query and respond with complete information. Sometimes it felt like they just wanted to move on.

Started out awesome. The rep I started the process with had a family emergency and I seem to have fallen into a small limbo state. The only way I could tell what was going on was checking in and using the text feature to ask questions every 3 or 4 days. Then I was told different versions of my (and original representative's) status. All worked out and it's done, just wish there was more communication especially when your initial contact gets sidelined

Only thing that was new to me was instead of paying off straight to the vendors that needed to be paid off they sent me check to mail out to them. In the past the Mortgage company paid directly to the vendors directly. I was just worried of checks being lost or delayed and payments due! But He answered every question and helped us weigh pros and cons and never pressured us. That was huge. He also answered all our calls and emails when possible and returned any He missed in record time. Also very important. We were transferred to someone new and she was very “matter of fact” and acted as if we were bothering her. Also took forever to get back with us if she got back at all. The rest of the process was great.

Rocket helps all they can but you talk to lots of different people. They are fairly quick to respond. I believe it being a FHA loan caused a lot of the issues that we had. Took longer than anticipated.

Good morning. I would like to start by saying we did get funded. With that said. Kalvin Kalen started out as a very professional representative, (in the beginning). As we opened the application, once opened, never heard back from him unless we followed up with questions. Kalvin never let us know what to expect next.. At this point, all we received was an electronic to-do list(s) with no explanation of why and with any timelines. We both work full time, and we had to figure out what was needed. (No Kalvin). There were duplicate requests. I got frustrated to a point where I wanted to pull the application. In my opinion, Kalvin was indifferent about that.. I run my own business, and I wouldn't be as successful if I followed like Rocket Mortgage. Just electronic to-do lists with no personal contact. I am guessing now, Kalvin my reach out.. Thank you for funding the loan, but this was our experience.

It was super easy to get help refinancing my home after my divorce. We just called and let them know what’s going on and they took it from there! We singed a few papers, answered some questions, and they did all the work for us! We got the loan we wanted, with debt consolidation, and a little extra so we can do some repairs on the home. It was a great experience!

The agent was nice and helpful until it got sloppy. Then no one made it clear at the end that you were mailing me checks for the cards I was paying off. As a result, I was charged finance charges that could have been avoided if you sent money to the banks!
