Positive experience.
Having a knowledgeable loan officer who was always available and kind was foremost to my positive experience. I was grateful for the teams diligence in ensuring all paperwork was accurate and met guidelines for verbiage etc., which secured my confidence in the team. I would apply for a loan again with NAF as well as request Scott Monroe as my loan officer, yet feel I would be matched well if he were not available. The only thing I would change is I think the Freddie Mac course should be set up at the very beginning of the process to provide information and allow more time to get the most out of it as it is beneficial.

Clear and concise communication throughout with individuals.. just too much communication confusion for me to give a five star at the end of the day. To be clear the individuals I worked when I spoke to them were knowledgeable and very diligent in answering my questions throughout the process. Since most of the companies are owners and/or heavy investors in others I expected more benefit from that with some associated risk(which at this time I believe both Amir and Dexter were very honest with me). We had a little bit of hiccup with the final numbers for my cashier's check and me kind of getting pushed into an appraisal by a seller we didn't close on. I can't really say who's to blame for either but with this many people involved communication between teams/pieces need to be more clear especially around closing details.

The only problem I had was the companies contracted to handle information verification. I received emails with subject lines like: "We need your banking information to send you money". As someone who has investigated internet fraud, that is a very large red flag and my security software flagged that message as fraudulent. After verifying the email, I made an attempt to follow the link provided and again, my security software identified the site as being involved in fraud. An earlier attempt was made by phone with someone who said that they just needed my personal banking information. I don't work that way. I should have been notified before these attempted contacts, who would be emailing or calling, and why. The names of the companies involved were also ambiguous. This delayed the processing of my mortgage. Date is approximate.
